When Polly asked me to capture her family story I was stoked. She is such a frickin talent and it's a total honour to be asked by her to photograph her family story.
I had been driving past this old motel down the south coast for years and had always dreamt of using it in a shoot. When thinking about Polly's family story it was the perfect fit. They are a laidback surfy family from the south coast so it was perfect for them!
We had the best afternoon. My son Cash was only 5 months old at the time. Ben would have to follow me around to shoots so i could breastfeed. He was at the side for most of this session. It's crazy thinking back to that time.
This session gives me goosebumps. I hope you enjoy it too.
